My Everything

A music video for Urban Praise Project

SYNOPSIS

My Everything was a truly community based project.

We collaborated with Urban Praise Project and the The Grove community of Ealing, London to create a music video that brought the community together around something positive and spoke hope over the lives of the people that live there.

The Grove community is amongst one of the most deprived communities in London. Mark is Urban Praise Project’s lead singer and Pastor of The Grove Community Church. He and his family moved into the community a number of years ago under the banner of the Eden Project and planted a church called The Grove Community.

This music video was as much about the process of coming together a diverse group of people as well as the final product. Making the people of The Grove the stars of the video built new friendships and created a deeper sense of community among the people of The Grove and added a valuable experience to the great work that Mark and his family is already doing there.

Dead Man

A music video for Joshua Luke Smith

Synopsis

Carry Me is a film inspired by a Bible Passage, Galatians 2:20

““My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!”

When we invite Jesus to lead our lives and invite the Holy Spirit to come and live in us we call this being “born again”. Jesus said that to know God and live the supernatural and full kind life that Jesus did you needed to be “born again”. As the Holy Spirit dwells in us it creates our spirit new. We are new men, new women, alive in God. So referring to the passage above, our old selves have died and our new selves have been born.

Life lived with Jesus as the leader means that whatever life throughs at guys, whatever the darkness throws at us, however we fail - God has the final word.

Carry Me

A music video for Joshua Luke Smith

Synopsis

Carry Me is a film about coming home.

Referencing the ancient story told by Jesus commonly known as “The Prodigcal Son”.

Their was father, a good and kind father with two sons he loved very much. One son was wayward and decides to ask for his inheritance and leaves his family home and goes to a city far away. There, he spent all of the money he was due to inherit on partying, sex, drugs and alcohol.
When he had ran out money he was homeless and had nowhere to stay but a pig pen. He realises that he will starve to death if he stays there. He doesn’t want to go home to his father’s house because he is ashamed of his actions. But, eventually the son thinks to return to his father’s house and ask him to become a hired servant, that way he would be able to survive.

So the son returns to his father’s house.

The father is waiting on the porch hoping his son would return, imagine he’s been there everyday from sunrise to sunset, watching, waiting.

The father sees the son coming home on the horizon.

And the father runs to him.

hugs him inspite of the fact the son is covered in filth from the pig pen.

The son tells the Father he wants to be a servant and he’s so sorry but the father would never let his son become his servant. The father brings the son into the house, clothes him and throws a party for him.

The son forgot who he was.

But the father never did.

Carry me is the story of a young man, lost in the midst of drugs, alcohol, and wild living. It is a story of his realisation that he is not who he is meant to be, he is lost and ashamed but he knows where he must return to.
